COMMUNITY/PARISH ASSIGNMENTS:
My recruiting territory encompasses Orleans, Jefferson, Terrebonne, and St. James Parishes high schools and adult education centers and community-based entities.

BRIEF BIO:
I am a  native of New Orleans who attended Delgado Community College immediately after high school.  After completing my general education requirements at Delgado, I transferred to Southern University at New Orleans where I attained a B.A. in English.  I also have a Master's degree in Education from the University of New Orleans. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of New Orleans. I have been employed by Delgado Community College for five years. I chose the education profession because I have a passion for learning, teaching, and helping people succeed.

YOUR GOAL FOR STUDENTS ENROLLING AT DCC:
My goal is for students to leave Delgado academically prepared to pursue more education or go immediately into the workforce, socially capable of fullly engaging in meaningful experiences, and civically prepared to make their communities a better place. Delgado is one of those places where students can maximize their learning experiences. In doing so, it is my goal to do all that I can to ensure that students are on the right path to realizing their academic and career goals.

CAMPUS VISITS:

Campus visits give students and parents the opportunity to determine if Delgado can meet their academic and social needs. Without a personal eye view of what campuses offer, students sometimes mismatch the college with their needs. When students visit Delgado, they know it's the place they want to be.

MY ROLE IN ORIENTATION:

My role in orientation encompasses meeting and greeting students and giving them information they  need to know to be successful at Delgado Community College. In this role, I am responsible for making sure that students are prepared to attend class on the first day. My goal is to let the students know that they are part of the Delgado family--an educational place where they can learn, grow and succeed.
